OOO acoustic
My first instrument was a OOO style slothead. I have always liked that classic blues players' style. People think of these as smaller guitars, but the OOO is a big body, actually often bigger than an OM. It produces a very even, natural sound. It has less punch, but more smoothness in my opinion.
Acoustics are good for learning to bind a guitar well. I almost never put binding on an electric, it seems like unnecessary frippery, but it has an important structural role in an acoustic.
My first acoustic was a slothead in Sitka and Mahogany. That’s a classic mix and it works well.

As I’ve moved away from tropical wood that isn’t reclaimed or old ‘forgotten’ stock, I’ve tried using cherry instead. That works well and is ideal for this body shape, I think.
I’m not selling acoustics yet, don’t know if I’ll ever feel I’ve climbed high enough up that ladder.
